Rebecca Archerr

Rebecca graduated with a First Class Honours Masters in Performance in 2020 from MTU Cork School of Music. While undertaking her Masters, Rebecca has been under the tutelage of Eilis O’Sullivan. During her time in CSM, she has participated in masterclasses with Zoe Booth, Emma Zoe Elkinson and Kieran Moynihan.

In 2018 Rebecca was chosen as a semi-finalist to represent CSM in the Irish Freemasons’ Young Musician of the Year competition. In October 2019 Rebecca attended the Flute School of London to partake in masterclasses with Tom Hancox, Michael Cox and Katherine Baker. In May 2020 she performed online in a National Concert Hall masterclass with Adam Walker. She was selected to perform for Nicole Esposito in a dedicated Poulenc flute masterclass in July 2020.

As an orchestral musician Rebecca has performed with many orchestras including SinfoNua, the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, and CSM Symphony Orchestra. She has also been a member of the Irish Youth Wind Ensemble and the CSM Wind Ensemble. Rebecca is an avid chamber musician and has performed in a range of duos, trios and quartets. She particularly enjoys performing in flute ensembles.

Interested in Baroque music, Rebecca has been a member of the Baroque ensemble Sanssouci for a number of years. Most notably Sanssouci performed for the East Cork Early Music Festival in 2016, and have participated in masterclasses with Philippe Grisvald and Jan Kleinbussink.

Rebecca has been teaching for a number of years in Cork working for a number of music schools. She teaches flute, piano, ukulele, theory, and musicianship, and her students have achieved high results in all their exams. Rebecca has taught Leaving Certificate music grinds, and helped prepare students for their music practicals.

I have a love of everything agriculture and that will be passed on in my classes.
